The Morales brothers, born in Huaraz, and New Zealander Anne Thomson. Bringing together local Andean heritage and international operational excellence since 2003.

The eldest of the Morales brothers, Eli began his career as a trekking guide at the age of 16. In 1999 he became a fully qualified Professional International Mountain Guide (UIAGM).

Our “KIWI” amiga & family friend Anne lives in New Zealand where she works from her home office, but travels to Huaraz regularly to work with us here.

Admin Manager & Tour Guide
Joined in 2018 after completing her degree in tourism. She traveled with some of our trek groups as an assistant guide so she knows the routes well.

Partner of our brother Rolando, joined in 2013. Lang is in charge of all our Huaraz base arrangements and preparations for group departures.

The delightful Yovana takes care of guests staying in Morales Guesthouse, preparing delicious breakfasts and attending to guests needs.
Lima Transfers & Tours
Patty & her Dad Julio are our trusted Lima colleagues who meet clients at the airport, make transfers to hotels, and help with lost luggage.
Chief guides are UIAGM / IFMGA certified. This is the highest international mountain guides qualification, achieved only after years of training and an intensive 42-day assessment supervised by European instructors.

Qualified in 1999 following an assessment by Swiss instructors. He is a very caring guide, has a great sense of humor, and enjoys making sure clients have a wonderful experience.

Working as a guide for more than 20 years. He has climbed Alpamayo more times than he can remember, along with Huascaran, Quitaraju, and Artesonraju.

A specialist technical climber and one of our leaders for groups doing big 6000m climbs in the Cordillera Blanca. Accredited as UIAGM in 2006.

Growing up in Llupa above Huaraz, Freddy is uniquely qualified as both a licensed UIAGM mountain guide and a university-graduated teacher.
Our local Peru trekking guides have vast experience guiding groups on all the trekking routes of the Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Huayhuash.

Our uncle Nestor is one of the most experienced guides in Huaraz. He has an absolute wealth of knowledge about all the routes, history, plants, and traditional medicine.

Coming from a small village at the foot of the Cordillera Blanca, Heimer studied full time at the House of Guides to become a CEAM professional trek guide.

Willie grew up in the hills above Huaraz. He studied full-time to become a professional licensed trek guide, aspirant mountain guide, and studied English to an advanced level.

Nicknamed "Condor", David is an Aspirant UIAGM mountain guide with a wicked sense of humor. He always goes the extra mile, often taking clients fishing in his free time.

Our youngest brother. Brought up ice and rock climbing. His nickname is "Mono" because he climbs rock like a monkey! He is an Aspirante mountain guide.

Joined our great team of lady guides in 2015. Works as an assistant cook but recently completed her professional trekking guide course.

Marco worked for several years as a trek assistant & climbing porter. He has now commenced his studies to become a professional guide.

The only daughter in the Morales family. Mayumi is a five-star trek cook and many clients complain that they actually put on weight while trekking with her!

Originally a climbing porter on all the big mountains in the Blanca. After attending chef school, he now prepares delicious meals while climbing with groups.

Father of UIAGM guide Walter Albino. In his earlier days, he was known as the strongest porter in Huaraz, climbing Huascaran, Alpamayo, and even in the Himalayas.

The youngest cook in our company. Started as a porter, realized his passion for cooking, and studied 3 years to become a professional chef at CENFOTUR.

Another of our extraordinary local Huaraz trekking chefs. Antonio is also a strong climber, having been on many Cordillera Blanca peaks supporting climbing clients.

Our most experienced trek cook, with us since the beginning. Esteban is also a tutor at the Huaraz cookery school, teaching high altitude cooking.

Jaime is another experienced trek cook, having completed a professional chefs training course at the Huaraz institute CENFOTUR and has more than 10 years of experience.
Our loyal porters and arrieros (donkey drivers) work tirelessly and with a "joyful" attitude to ensure your camp is perfect before you even arrive.
Arriero (Donkey Driver)
Lives two days hike away in Colcabamba. He uses his trekking income to pay university and school fees for his two daughters in Huaraz.

Dad to our staff members Yovana and Marco. Extremely courteous, warm-hearted, and vast experience climbing Huascaran, Alpamayo, and Tocllaraju.

Nickname "Ashcash". One of our most experienced climbing porters. Has climbed Huascaran and Chopicalqui several times. Also a passionate trainee cook.

Keeping it in the family, Iber is the son of our regular trek cook Alfonzo. He is multi-talented and one of our strongest climbing porters.

Roger is Eli’s son-in-law. He operates his own small business selling cooking gas, but in his spare time works with us in the mountains.

Working as a porter since 2005. Very experienced, having climbed all the big peaks including Huascaran Sur, Artesonraju, and Alpamayo.

John is a very young, fast, strong, and friendly porter who is always willing to do whatever is needed on the trail.

Segundino is another of our many trusted and hard-working donkey drivers. He lives in Llamac and accompanies us on Cordillera Huayhuash treks.
